NaNo Madness

Hey all, it’s J.A., reporting to you live amidst the craziness that is NaNoWriMo. I haven’t said much on here as of late so I thought I would take a break from pounding away at my word count to  say hi and share some updates.

As of now I am staying on target with my NaNoWriMo project. Deliver, the sequel to Mistaken, is coming along nicely. It seems this story is more closely following Trey and Kay, but there are some new faces popping up as well, such as Luciano’s new partner, Aidan O’Connor.  I’m definitely digging Aidan right now.  I have been holding myself to a daily goal of 2,000 words a day on Deliver’s first draft, and so far, despite a few days of having a bit too much wine with one of my besties (it was a girls’ weekend, OKAY?) I have been sticking to that goal. It is day 9 of 30 and I am closing in on 18,000 words as I sit here sipping a latte at Starbucks, (I know, how cliche!?)

Possess is getting ready to go to my betas this weekend, and then my editor toward the end of this month and is on track for a January release, though if I can manage to get it out by Christmas (in eBook), I just might.  Either way, I am just glad that baby is staying on target and I am meeting goals. I enjoyed writing Possess so much and getting to develop the characters that there may be several deleted scenes as well as a special free short to go along with this story.  Will be sharing more details very soon!

My goal for Deliver is to have the first draft finished by early December (I have no doubt I can hit 60k by the end of November, but I am not sure if it will end up being longer or not). After editing and all that jazz, I am aiming for a March release of Deliver…but who knows? Maybe some lucky readers will get to read an ARC of it before the release?

Well, that’s all for now. Time to get back into my word count for the day!
