In the ring, Regan has control. Outside the ropes, she fights to survive.

Regan Sommers spent her life fighting. Fighting foster parents, kids in the group home, and classmates. But the night she has to fight for her life changes everything. Now, she’s fighting for money in the ring, and from the first punch she’s addicted. Every addiction has a price though, and this one is the gym’s star boxer, Gage Lawson. He may come in an enticing tattooed package, but his demands are more than she can handle. The responding officer from that night, Anthony Fields, comes with no demands. He want’s whatever she’s willing to give, and Regan can handle that. She can definitely handle him. But no help comes string free, and Regan’s not the only one with a hard past and scars to cover. The life she was trying to escape is nothing compared to the danger she’s in the middle of now, and she can’t fight her way out. ***Reader please be aware: Story contains mature content such as: Drugs, sex, abuse, and explicit language that may be upsetting for some.****

I must say I’m incredibly happy to have discovered this new author.
When reading the title and blurb I knew it was going to be a fighter novel. What I didn’t know however was that it wouldn’t be the typical fighter novel.
First, you have Reagan. She’s obviously grown up different from many, but she’s managed to survive. One night after a tragic incident, she realizes that she can’t keep going the way she is. That’s when she meets Silas and Gage.
Gage is your typical closed off, playboy, absolute amazing fighter…. until you learn a little more.

In all honesty, I know my descriptions come off very vague, but I don’t want to give ANY of the story away for you because that’s what kept me so intrigued…. that and the dynamics between the characters. 🙂

Outside the Ropes isn’t your typical fighter story, but I would say that’s brilliant because you can only play on the same thing so many times. Ashley Claudy has given us a breath of fresh air that is gritty, tragic, and sometimes heart warming.

I can’t wait to read the next one! Is March here yet? 😉

Book 2 (Inside Danger) is set to release on March 26, 2015.  It is currently up on amazon for pre-order. Just click HERE to pre-order
